John Myerscough mène une carrière internationale chargée en tant que violoncelliste du Doric String Quartet. Recent concert highlights include performances at Carnegie Hall in New York, Berlin Konzerthaus, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Vienna Musikverien and in Hong Kong, Sydney, Vancouver and Philadelphia as well as at venues and festivals across Europe. John also performs widely as a solo cellist. In 2006 he won the Gold Medal and First Prize at the Royal Overseas League Music Competition and has given recitals at Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, Cadogan Hall and the Holywell Music Rooms in Oxford, at the Brighton, Cambridge, Edinburgh Fringe and Kings Lynn Festivals and abroad in Australia, France, New Zealand and Singapore. He is also the founder and co-artistic director of the cello octet ‘Cellophony’.
