La violoncelliste autrichienne Ana Turkalj, née en 1993 à Hainburg an der Donau, a été introduite au violoncelle aux écoles de musique à Klosterneuburg et à Vienne sous Vladimir Malinovski et Orfeo Mandozzi, avec lequel elle a ensuite commencé ses études au Collège des Arts à Zürich. Elle a passé sa Licence sous Ivan Monighetti à l’Académie de Musique à Bâle où elle prépare actuellement sa Maîtrise sous Rafael Rosenfeld. Ses succès aux concours nationaux et internationaux incluent les Premiers Prix aux concours Prima la Musica, Liezen, Rudolf Matz, Antonio Janigro et Alpe Adria. Elle a participé aux masterclasses avec Bernard Greenhouse, Boris Kushnir, Robert Nagy, Giovanni Sollima et Seiji Ozawa. Ses performances l’ont amenée à La Fenice à Venise, au Mozarteum à Salzbourg, aux Konzerthaus et Musikverein à Vienne, ainsi qu’aux salles de concert à Klagenfurt, Graz, Verone et Ljubljana, et elle a eu le privilège de se produire au piano à l’université de Harvard à Boston.
Ana Turkalj, born in Hainburg an der Donau in 1993, enjoyed her first cello experiences as an music student in Klosterneuburg and Vienna under Vladimir Malinovski and Orfeo Mandozzi, with whom she subsequently began her studies at the Zurich High Scool of the Arts. She completed her Bachelor’s degree under Ivan Monighetti at the Basel Music Academy, where she is currently pursuing a masters degree with Rafael Rosenfeld. Her successes at national and international competitions include First Prizes at the Prima la Musica, Liezen, Rudolf Matz, Antonio Janigro, and Alpe Adria competitions. Ana has attended masterclasses with Bernard Greenhouse, Boris Kushnir, Robert Nagy, Giovanni Sollima, and Seiji Ozawa.
