Originaire du Pays de Galles, David Shaw a vingt ans. Il vit actuellement à Londres, où il termine sa deuxième année à la Royal Academy of Music, étudiant de So Ock Kim.
Il a donné de nombreux récitals à travers le Royaume Uni, l’Italie, l’Allemagne, la Hongrie et la Norvège. En 2009 David fut le musicien le plus jeune à avoir atteint le final du concours « Texaco Young Musician of Wales » et par consequent il fut ainsi invité à se produire dans « Mille voix de Noël » à Llangollen, qui fut diffusé sur la chaîne S4C. David a joué des concertos avec des orchestres dont le Cardiff Symphony Orchestra, le Chester Philharmonic et plus récemment le Welsh Chamber Orchestra. Il est passionné par la musique de chambre, et son quatuor s’est produit dans des salles telles que Wigmore Hall et Kings Place, et aux festivals de musique à Dingley et à Norwich.
David Shaw is twenty and originally comes from North Wales. He now lives in London and is enjoying his second year at the Royal Academy of Music, where he studies with So Ock Kim.
He has given many recitals throughout the UK, Italy, Germany, Hungary, and Norway. In 2009 he was the youngest musician ever to have reached the final of Texaco Young Musician of Wales. As a result of this, he was invited to perform in ‘One Thousand Christmas Voices’ in Llangollen, which was televised on S4C.
David has performed concertos with orchestras such as the Cardiff Symphony Orchestra, the Chester Philharmonic, and, more recently, the Welsh Chamber Orchestra. He has a great passion for chamber music, and his quartet have performed in venues such as the Wigmore Hall, and Kings Place, and at the Dingley Music and Norwich Chamber Music festivals. David is very much looking forward to attending Musique a Marsac!
