Fabian van de Geest est
étudiant à l'école de musique et de théâtre Guildhall où il poursuit une maîtrise en musique, avec le soutien de Help Musicians UK. Il a récemment obtenu une licence de musique avec mention très bien du Royal College of Music où ses professeurs étaient Simon Rayner, Tim Jones et John Ryan. Pendant son séjour au Collège, il a aussi étudié avec Radovan Vlatkovic à Salzbourg dans le cadre du programme d'échange Erasmus, et il a joué dans des master-classes avec Stefan Dohr et Fergus McWilliam.
Fabian travaille régulièrement en tant que musicien free-lance avec certains des meilleurs orchestres de Londres dont le London Symphony Orchestra, l'Orchestre du Royal Opera House, le Philharmonia Orchestra et le London Philharmonic Orchestra, sous la baguette d'Esa-Pekka Salonen, Vladimir Ashkenazy, et Herbert Blomstedt. Avec ces orchestres il a joué au Royaume-Uni et dans des salles de concert dans toute l'Europe. L'été dernier, il a participé à la London Sinfonietta Academy et il a joué avec Skyline Brass au Klosters Music Festival.
Fabian van de Geest is a student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he is studying for a Master of Music degree, with the support of Help Musicians UK. He recently graduated with a firstclass Bachelor of Music degree from the Royal College of Music where he studied with Simon Rayner, Tim Jones, and John Ryan. He also studied with Radovan Vlatkovic in Salzburg under the Erasmus exchange programme, and played in masterclasses with Stefan Dohr and Fergus McWilliam.
A regular freelance player, Fabian has worked with some of London’s top orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, the Philharmonia Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, under conductors such as Esa-Pekka Salonen, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Herbert Blomstedt. With these orchestras he has performed around the UK and in concert halls throughout Europe. Last summer he took part in the London Sinfonietta Academy and performed with Skyline Brass at the Klosters Music Festival.
